Lavashak- Persian Fruit Leather
Lavashak is a traditional Persian treat known as fruit leather. Pomegranate sauce, lemon and salt is commonly added to it to give it a fantastic flavor profile.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet Persian Fruit Leather Your choice of flavor
- 1 cup Pomegranate Molasses
- 1 cup Pomegranate seeds
- 1/2 Lemon
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Begin by cutting your Persian fruit leather sheet in half, creating pieces approximately 6x4 inches in length.
- Take a tupperware or glass dish and pour a couple of tablespoons of pomegranate molasses into the bottom. Reserve the remaining pomegranate molasses for use inside the fruit leather.
- Place one sheet of fruit leather in the dish and generously spread pomegranate molasses over it. Then, add whole pomegranate seeds, lemon, and salt. If you prefer, you can keep it simple and omit the lemon and salt.
